We are pleased to announce the acquistion - in print and online - of the first set in the Salem Press Milestone Documents series: Milestone Documents in American History.
The print set and database include 134 primary source documents in American History, each with accompanying essays providing analysis, context, and commentary. Documents from the pre-Revolutionary period through the present (Bush v. Gore) are included. The online database offers full-text of all documents and essays, a flexible search engine, a name search index, and the ability to browse through documents in 25 subject categories.
The database can be accessed from the A-Z List of Electronic Resources or Electronic Resources in History pages, or directly at http://www.history.salempress.com. (Please note: off-campus access to Milestones is not yet available but we are working on adding it to our off-campus options.)
The Duggan Library will be acquiring future sets in the series as they are published. The upcoming series will be: Milestone Documents of American Leaders; Milestone Documents in World History; Milestone Documents of World Leaders; Milestone Documents of World Religions.
